Our Veterans

Stephen Lambert is a former Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Corps of Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, having completed 17 years of military service. Serving alongside infantry and Royal Artillery units, he worked in demanding environments requiring technical expertise, sound judgement and strong leadership. His service was recognised with a Garrison Commander’s Commendation.

During his military career, Steve served with 1st Battalion, The Royal Green Jackets, 2nd Battalion, The Light Infantry, and the 5th and 12th Regiments Royal Artillery. He was also attached to 4/73 (Sphinx) Special Observation Post Battery, working as a vehicle specialist, physical training instructor and member of the selection team. After leaving the Army, he spent 22 years in private security across the Middle East and Africa, protecting British Embassy personnel, supporting senior US Army Corps of Engineers commanders and overseeing the training, standards and discipline of more than 1,500 personnel on Iraq’s largest security contract.

Steve later founded a specialist training academy, delivering Level 4 hostile-environment close-protection training to more than 500 service leavers, with over 95% securing interviews and employment through his recommendations. He now leads emergency-response operations in Trojena, Saudi Arabia, while also serving as a Veteran Liaison for Veterans for Veterans. Drawing on his military service, international experience and own transition to civilian life, he provides veterans with practical guidance and advocacy throughout the claims process.
