Biography
John served for 22 years in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), completing a varied and demanding military career that included operational tours and extensive instructional duties. Throughout John’s service, he trained both recruits and senior soldiers, delivering instruction not only in core trade disciplines but also in the regimental and professional standards expected of service personnel.
He successfully completed the All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection (P Company) and went on to serve with the Airborne Forces for three years. During this period, John developed a strong connection with airborne operations and became a keen skydiver, later assisting the REME Freefall Team in parachuting demonstrations.
As a veteran, I have a deep understanding of the realities of military service and the challenges faced by serving and former personnel. This experience enables me to relate to and empathise with the pressures, demands, and transitions I encounter throughout my military career.
