The Veterans Charity

Founded in 2008, this charity provides material support, direct to veterans across the entire UK who find themselves facing hardship and distress. They assist veterans with food, utilities, communications and IT support, clothing, footwear and household and homewares.

Combat Stress

Provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues (PTSD) resulting from their experiences during military service. They have dedicated helplines, treatment programmes and a peer support platform.

SSAFA (Soldiers', Sailors' & Airmen's Families Association)

SSAFA helps the armed forces community with a focus on providing direct support to individuals in need of physical or emotional care, including addictions, relationship breakdown, debt, homelessness, PTSD, depression and disabilities.

Army Benevolent Fund (ABF)

The ABF specialises in providing grants to individuals and families, as well as funding leading charities and organisations to ensure support is available across several key areas: debt relief, essential household goods and repairs, funeral expenses, critical family needs, elderly care, and mobility assistance.

Royal Navy Benevolent Trust (RNBT)

The RNBT is a charity dedicated to supporting serving and former Royal Navy ratings and Royal Marines in times of need. Their assistance covers a wide range of essential services, including medical and dental care, respite breaks, home repairs, food, funerals, clothing, furniture, household goods, education, and housing expenses. They also help with energy costs, moving expenses, employment training, council tax, telephone bills, care home fees, domiciliary care, certain legal expenses, and home adaptations for medical reasons.

Royal Air force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF)

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) is the RAF's leading welfare charity, providing financial, practical, and emotional support to serving and former RAF personnel and their families. Veterans in Communities (VIC) is a charity supporting ex-military personnel and their families across the North West of England. The Northern Ireland Veterans' Support Office (NIVSO)

The Northern Ireland Veterans' Support Office was established to develop the capacity to deliver the Armed Forces Covenant in Northern Ireland. Veterans Assist Scotland

Veterans Scotland is an umbrella organisation comprising over 80 veterans' organisations, including regimental associations and support groups. It aims to enhance the welfare of the veterans' community in Scotland by fostering cooperation among its members and serving as a central point for matters concerning ex-service personnel. Membership is open to organisations that share its objectives and are approved by its Executive Committee.

Welsh Veterans Partnership (WVP)

The Welsh Veterans Partnership (WVP) is a charity dedicated to supporting veterans and their families in Wales. Established in 2016, WVP offers housing pathways and comprehensive support using a holistic approach. They collaborate with local authorities, housing associations, and third-sector organisations to assist veterans transitioning to civilian life, focusing on accommodation, well-being, and mental health.
